we must have same named players up the flank, its a rule

although i'm starting to think G.johnson should play right midfield,we must have another right back somewhere,

Terry has had a lot of under the sheets action as of late making him slightly unpopular and easier to drop. I would ordinarily keep him as I think he is better than Ferdinand but, Cappelo made Ferdinand captain so can't really drop him

Rooney is a better player (Hard to believe after how shit he has been) than all of the mentioned above. He has to come good at some point in time....surely?

Don't give Cappelo any ideas he will be having Stevie Gerrard in that position next game.

He's a better player when the team itself is built around him. England isn't built around him.

Whereas Crouch is a proven goalscorer no matter the team. Defoe is a proven scorer no matter the team.

Zamora, while unproven for England... Showed a lot of promise tonight. As i said, he did more in the half he played than Rooney has done since the WC started.

I actually agree with you. However, if you were a manager and you wanted to gain in popularity would you drop the biggest (most supported) club in England's favourite player? I think in Cappelo's situation although he would gain respect from making brave decisions like that (from lots of people) it would be to risky and leave him even more in the firing line from the media.

Capello is paid way more in a quater of a year than I will eb in a lifetime so I guess he should be able to make these decisions. I don't think he will though.

I wouldn't be afraid. Why be a manager of a team if you daren't make big decisions? The fans are booing him. Critics know he's playing rubbish.

It would be different if he did a McLaren (dropping Beckham when he did nothing wrong), but unlike Beckham, Rooney is poo.

All he would have to do is this - Go to the press interview. Explain that his goal scoring record is pants, show them Crouch's record... Done.

He wont drop Rooney though for the reason you said. He doesn't have the balls to do it.
