Yes the process, started in may 2006, there were already non-definitive senteces during the world cup, actaully but the final senteces came out about in late august If I remember well, yes that's umprecise the world cup wasn't after calciopoli but during it, Milan's CL was in 2007.

Go go Japan! 2-0 on Denmark! I am really hoping they win. Of course, I generally enjoy watching UEFA teams lose. The conference gets so vastly over rated in these discussions that it gets on my nerves. Not to say they aren't home to some of the best teams ever, but too many seem to think UEFA is automatically better than the other conferences.

Actually CONMEBOL conference is pretty much on par with UEFA, in terms of national sides. Both conferences have the same amount of WC, and CONMEBOL teams are the only ones to ever have won a WC outside it's own continent.

That is remarkably laughable. Especially considering the team most consistently ranked as the best is not UEFA. As Lestat said CONMEBOL compares extremely favorably to it. If you combined all of the Americas into one I would say it could top UEFA. As we have seen in this tournament the top end of CONCACAF compares quite well to UEFA too. Of course we have 2 consistently good teams (in recent memory at least as USA sucked hard before the 90s) and a bunch of "Who the hell are they again?" The only real advantage UEFA really has is size.
