What is it with Italians always kissing? This is football ceremony for celebrations not a male dance competition!

If Lyon had played Inter they would have just been kissing each other throughout the 90mins!

they weren't italians.....

I know what you mean......but........Last time I checked my world map Milan was in Italy

Dammit! I hate Bayern - when I want them to lose, they win and when I want them to win, they lose.

They ruin every damn Bundesliga season, with their domination, just to fuck it up on the international level.
Bayern had no clue what to do against Inter - it just goes to show, how bad the Bundesliga really is.

I agree with everything except the bolded parts.

- Bayern don't dominate every Bundesliga season. Many German sports journalists and even many German football fans seem to suffer from a strange perception disorder when it comes to "constant Bayern dominance"; I swear sometimes I think people who hate Bayern want them to dominate so that they can hate them even more . By the way: I dislike Bayern too (BVB fan here), but I never thought they'd dominate every year. And even if they did - they could never "ruin" a season. A season isn't ruined to me just because my fav team didn't win the title.

- Bundesliga is not a bad league, it's a great league, yet it's still underrated (even by its own fans, it seems). We had e.g. Bremen in UEFA league final last year, Bayern in CL final this year. Yes, they lost their finals, but this doesn't make Bundesliga a bad league. Au contraire.

- Ok - maybe "ruin" was a little strong - it's just... boring. Look at the last 10 years - Bayern won 6/10 - and the other 4 years it was always a different team that won - there is no constant rival to Bayern - another team might play a good season and come out on top once, but the very next season the same team will be back to mediocrity, while Bayern goes for it's next win. It's just boring to know at the start of a season that Bayern will - more likely then not - win again.

- Yes, there is a success here and there, but I don't just look for results, I look at how the Bundesliga teams actually play internationally. Most of the time they get lucky and stumble through somehow, it's rare for them to actually play good (and thus deserve success). It's pretty much like our national team - they don't play particularly good most of the time, but they fight and with a lot of luck get through - the problem is: that's just not enough to actually win anything. They might get to the semi-final or even final, but willpower and luck will only get them so far...

"there is no constant rival to Bayern" => I agree, but I come to a different conclusion than you: A different rival to Bayern almost every year is one of my favourite aspects of the Bundesliga.

"another team might play a good season and come out on top once, but the very next season the same team will be back to mediocrity" => Mediocrity? Hm, if you think so...

"They might get to the semi-final or even final, but willpower and luck will only get them so far"
=> I disagree. It's definitely not just will power and luck, but anyway.

Like I said, I think the Bundesliga is underrated even by many German football fans. No offense, DeduS. but that's typical German behaviour. "We're unworthy". I see it every day .

I for one am glad that a) Bayern made it to the final and b) that they lost. Contradicting? Not if you dislike Bayern München and live and work near Munich like I do. I can laugh at Bayern fans all summer now because they didn't win the most precious club title.

congratz to Inter.
They were simply the better team. They had the right tactic and Bayern was too unimaginative. (and Van Buyten and Demichelis did a pretty bad job in the defense.... not the first time either...)

a step to far for bayern,

did they just say, italy keeps its four CL places because of this,i think inter had to win to keep it for next year,

they have alot to thank inter for, juve and others clubs

Mourinho at his new home already is he? The Bernabeu

he defo off by the way the media talk

Nah doesn't work like that. Italy can keep the 4th CL spot for the 2011/2012 season.

As you can see Italy will lose many points next year, so even with a mediocre season for German clubs, we'll most likely get our 4th CL spot for the season 2012/2013.

so germany and italy will swap round the season after next, most likely

thanks for putting that table up

Damn Mourinho :( I wanted FC Robben to win :(

I have come to the reality now after watching Mourinho for years....He always wins
