Villa's season is evaporating before our eyes....

league cup stolen from them
being bossed out of the fa cup by a championship club
and looking around them... league will be 6th... at best imo.

Shame, i like the way they play these days and players such as Milner deserve something.

6th place is generous in my opinion, and this is coming from an Aston Villa fan. I can see us finishing 7-8th at best, perhaps even as low as 10th.

I have a feeling that we are going to screw up our season like last year, and we aren't exactly in as strong a position as last season that we can afford to do that.

If Liverpool get a result against Wigan tommorow the pressure is going to be right on Villa to deliever in their games in hand.

1-0 Wigan, deserved too, just edged a faily dull game so far

Why isn't aquilani playing these games?

Anyway Liverpool have been pretty dire this season.

They have all season. Its reflected in their league position and being in that Europa cup.

I don't rate Aquilani. I think he was a drastic waste of money and he isn't even worth talking about in respect to being a replacement to Alonso. Personally i would bring on Babel, he brings explosive pace something that Kuyt could only dream of.

1 up front away at Wigan isn't the most positive move. Problem being, Liverpool don't have a second quality striker. Babel seems to be only employed as a winger.

Another thing that baffles me is that Liverpool is playing with two defensive mid fielders against a bottom table team.

I would go with something like this

---------------------------gk

------------------------Back four

--------------------------Masch

-------------Aquilani (deep lying playmaker, takes pressure of gerrard)

Kuyt (or Babel)----- Gerrard----- Benayoun

--------------------------Torres

Then again, I'm not a manager :)

Wish we had a full squad like that.

Liverpool have been like Everton this season, unable to play a first 11. Although, saying that im not using that as an excuse for Liverpool's league position in the slightest.

True, you've had some bad luck with injuries this season. But it's a full squad today, anyway you'll probably still win this.

Manu - Liverpool next week ought to be good.

Not a full squad in the slightest! Skrtl, Agger and Johnson arn't fully fit. Johnson is playing now but has been injured for a while. Agger is out, Skrtl has a broken foot.

I don't have as much confidnece in Liverpool team as you - not this season anyway.

Liverpool are dire.
