sounds like belgium should be qualifying then,in the next couple of tournaments

trouble is europe is a tough place to play your football

the defence should be alright in a couple of years if not now....what about that van damme chap or whatever he's called,he was supposed to be quite good,he's at pompey now isn't he

fellaini and defour are good players,i don't really know the rest

although funnily i just bought lukaku for tottenham in pro 2010,good young player he must 17 now,a big man

it looks like a good manager should be able to get that lot qualifying for euro 2012

how tough is your group

Vanden Borre, there was a lot of presure on him from a very young age. He kinda snapped and never reached his full potential, there is still time for him though.

Lukaku is still 16, 17 in May.

I'm hoping Advocaat is the man who brings us back to a respectabel side, but the draw for euro 2012 isn't Easy. Germany (they alway qualify), Turkey (with Hiddink as Manager), Austria (they aren't pushovers), AZerbaijan , Kazakhstan (far far far away). We'll see how things work out.

England seems to have an easy group, correct?

yes well the germans will qualify

but you surely have a chance with the turks and austrians,if you have a decent manager like advocatt

wow still 16yr

the players maybe too young then, but they sound like a good crop coming through

It's a top 20 list of the football teams with the largest revenues.

Things to note:

English teams doing relatively poorly because of weak sterling

United would be on top if exchange rate was that of June 2007

Arsenal overtook Chelsea this year

Newcastle in 20th place. Good for them.

I don't know a huge amount about Italian football but I'm surprised at the low amounts for their teams, and the fact that Juve are above the Milan teams

Maybe someone here can answer this. Why are Bayern such a bad team? I knew they were well off but I didn't know they made this much money. I know revenue isn't everything when it comes to a team's wealth (see City in 19th) but they should still surely be walking the Bundesliga and be strong competitors in Europe. But I don't know all that much about German football either.

so english teams are doing poorly? how can u say this with 7 out of the top 20 teams from england!! just imagine if the exchange rate was better we would probaly have more in there

That's what I meant, the English teams are doing poorly relative to how well they would be doing if the exchange rate was better.

I presume everyone was glued to their tellies for the big Ireland vs. Brazil game. 2-0 to Brazil. They were pretty poor in the first half but turned it on in the second and scored an amazing second goal.

Decent performance from England there, on the whole
