Actually...  I believe Gamestop.. I mean it's not like they are in the dark, they know when something comes out way before we know.

They are only one of the largest game retailers in the bizz..

If GT5 gets release this year, this seems almost logical, going against MW2 no matter your '256 player can do ra-ra-ra' gimmick is suicidal. If they don't have GT5 however, the number are beginning to become pretty thin. No White Knight, No GT5, No GoW3 and No Heavy Rain... so many anticipated game have slip to next year....

Whole this avoiding MW2 release thing is getting rediculus. If this continues we will be getting most crowded Q1 in history.

I mean seriously ok COD 5 sold like 11M of copies that means 75-80% of userbase didn't even care about it.

The line up is too strong for the ps3 despite this..

The new Ratchet and clank is scheduled for this year, and Uncharted 2. Add to that the mountains of PSN exclusives, and AAA multiplatform ip, gamers arent made of money. Its a smart idea, specifically if they release a slimline model at a much cheaper price.
