The way I see it, the SNES will never be topped by any console existing or in the future.

Sonys console had some good games............... No question about that.

I just get pissed when sony are praised for been a gaming giant when actually they are nothing more than a gaming purchaser.

When people look in the history books in many years to come, people will KNOW that the best games on sonys ps1 were ALL made by 3rd or 2nd party developers.

Nintendo will be respected till the world ends for making some of the greatest games of all time.

How anyone can have even a shread of respect for sony baffles me.

Sony never made video games mainstream. All they did is increase the Age of the people who played games.
It indroduce Adults and older people. The fact that it did that is false. It basically took nintendo's 1st party
make aldults games and bang their you have it. Also it di expand it alot though it shrunk the population of
kids that played it. Which is why the N64 still sold great. and the the GC sold a third less.  If it did bring mainstream
than you will see alot of people know about this game or that game like the movie industry.

Thats your opinion on it, and i respect it.

But with Playstation bringing more adults to gaming... children also got to play. Hence the Crash Bandicoot games getting the huge sales, Spyro games getting big sales. And at the same time as those games aimed mainly at kids, games like Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil and Gran Turismo were selling bucket loads too.

IMO, Playstation has only been beaten by Nintendo DS and Playstation 2

Only two of those titles were developed by Sony and only two were Sony IPs. The rest of those titles would have been Saturn games if Sony wasn't around.

But they were around...

And does it really matter how many were actually developed by Sony, or how many were Sony IPs? They still appeared on Playstation, and this is meant to be what you think is the better console, Snes or Playstation. I gave my reasons for why i think Playstation.

kind of. lets just say for the sake of argument that playstation is the better console. its better because of a bunch of games that they didnt create? they just put out a console and let everybody and their grandma develop for it.

i dunno, nintendo always seems to do more for the industry. theyre a very very respectable company.

Yes, Sony brought gaming to the mainstream by introducing the FMV.  The FMV made games more of a theatrical experience where you could watch the game more than actually play it.  The casuals ate this up.

Also, the PS was popular with the beer drinking jocks because the games were easier and more violent.  Playing through a game like Super Mario 64 or Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time took way to much time and thinking.  Also, those characters were gay!!!  A plumber and an elf?  WTF?  These are only a couple of reasons why I say that the Sony Playstation is the greatest system of all time.
