More interesting then that though is the following information given in the summery. It is also our understanding that Naughty Dog is sharing some of its knowledge with The Ice Team, the secret Sony studio working on the base Edge Tools kit for the improvement of all PS3 games. The developer also dropped a hint our way at E3 that there might be a new Jak & Daxter next year.
That would be amazing

Its my understanding that the bulk of the edge tools were written on site at Naughty Dog studios and in large part by the senior programmers there.
Tease.
I would love to see a new Jak mixed with some Uncharted-ish elements!
Made by Naughty Dog, right? Ready at Dawn can go die in a hole.
EDIT: Not that they are bad, but God of War 1 + 2 >>>>>>> Chains of Olympus, and console Jak games >>>>>>> Daxter. They should stay on the PSP where they belong.
Pretty awesome if true, I really want to see the Sony owned devs to bring in their old time franchises onto the platform.
I read this rumour at gameplay.au, who I trust less than IGN... but I certainly hope its true
About the ICE team, I don't think they actually go as far as making the ND engine avaliable for others, rather they help other teams with their tech, which is why ND seem to be in the credits of most Sony published titles (they also co-operate with Insomniac)
