Forums - Microsoft - Remedy:'Alan Wake is Xbox 360 exclusive' (PC version shelved indefinitely)

while i did just buy a 360, therefore this will not effect me, but this is a rather sad sign... Remedy basically owes all of its success to the hands of it's pc fans, and it's games tend to be over the heads of most console owners. I suspect that microsoft is forcing them to keep it on the 360, as well as making them dumb the game down for console use only.

I still suspect this game will be very good, and it is certainly a day one buy for me, but I'm just ashamed that Remedy would allow such a thing to happen to their game.

Even a steam only version of the PC game would of been fine, with half-life like DRM.

anyway I guess that's a loss for those who expected this to be a visual delight.

Looks like 360 has a "Real exclusive" now.

This game is gonna be amazing.

Finally...I`m tired of 360/Pc versions.

Good news for 360 owners and,if anybody wants to play Alan Wake, they should buy a cheap 360 and enjoy the exclusive games. What`s wrong with that? It was about time MS stopped supporting the Pc with it`s high piracy rate.

And if someone is offended by this decision, then you know how I feel when I buy a 360 game while many people download the Pc version of the game using torrent sites.

What matters are the sales, and if Alan Wake sold more on PC+Xbox360 than just X360, then your argument is pointless. I can assure you that if Alan Wake, like most good games, were to be released in both platforms at the same time, it would very likely sell more on PC.

lol just no

I can't think of a good shooter that sold more on Xbox 360 than on PC, that was released on both at same time...

I lol`ed too...shio is just mad because he can`t torrent the game anymore and he wanted to play it.

MS toled him to get a cheap 360 and buy the game on 360,shio said "i`ll wait for the pc version and if it doesn`t come,i hope the game sucks and has low sales".

It`s just shio,he`s like his arguments without links -> pointless.

I very highly doubt that. Piracy and all. Plus, PC gamers tend to round up, if you know what I'm saying. I mean, if my favorite console had sales that were untrackable, I'd say they were better as well. No way to prove me wrong.

Anyway, it's not coming to PC. MS doesn't care about losing money if it means beating Sony this gen. That's why they are Microsoft.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

pc gaming dead, yay!

True Zen... MS doesn`t care about money, they just want to beat Sony this gen.

They spent millions on xbox 1 and got burned. They are spending the same on xbox 360 and are making a profit this time,so they will continue to invest and keep getting money in return.

But they just want to end Playstation dominance and ... you know... Sony.
