It's annoying to see someone obviously trolling and when you report the post nothing seems to be done about it.  How about implementing something so that when a user sends in a report a message is sent back when a mod examines the complaint?

You check that person's moderation history, and it says whether or not that person has been notified about his trolling

It seems to be a roundabout way and still doesn't let every person know if their complaint has actually been looked at. I'm not asking that people be given a personalized message about their complaint, just a canned message like "Your complaint has been viewed by a moderator." triggered when a mod opens the complaint (the mods would not have to do any more work than they already are).

Leo J you can't check other people's mod history, only their recent history, and even then it only says "banned"

every complaint is looked into in a timely fashion. What you want to know is the outcome, but honestly you don't kneed to know if I sent a warning or not. You see bans all the time by looking at their profile.

To top it all off, I believe we have a new mod system that was designed and going to be implemented that I believe will let you know if a post has already been reported.

I've been waiting to see "User was warned for this post" and "User was banned for this post" messages.
