If they make a 360Slim then it has to be DOMED!!! or it'll fail.

For the people wondering about whether or not an Xbox 360 slim would overheat, im tempted to call them fools but instead I will say this. A Radeon 4870 X2 has the internal dimensions of a PS2 slim and yet its power usage is higher than a launch PS3. Since the Xbox 360 Jasper console uses less than 80W and a slimline model would be less than 50W you're smoking crack if you think its going to overheat.

It could overheat if they don't bother to ventilate it properly. It's not like it was impossible to prevent the initial Xboxes from overheating, M$ just did not design it properly

Is it even remotely reasonable to even make such a statement that it would have any real likelihood sight unseen to overheat?

It is not really reasonable to say that it is likely to overheat, but it is still possible

It will be called NATAL.

It will have more hard-drive, wi-fi, camera and no RRoD. (slicker, but not smaller than the 360).

Reason why I think buying a 360 NOW is completely waste of money, since Natal will be a more valuable package.

My only question is: why? I don't understand the draw... It's not like your console is a lap top, where the tiny, lightweight design has some purpose.

Saves money for both consumer and manufacturer with smaller components and less cooling needed (especially with Sony creating a power brick instead of having it integrated)

Christmas 2010, bundled with Natal.

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

only the asians especially japanese can make things small.

have anyone seen their new OLED 40' TV.

crazy!.

slim it's a important factor, it made nokia 6300 sell more then 22 million in a year, psp and DS get the world interested into them.

I think apple would like to have a word with you.

Just to clarify for everyone continuing with misinformation in this thread, overheating isn't the issue with RROd at all and never has been. If you xray a brand new 360 motherboard the GPU has voids and micro fractures in the solder from manufacturing, this is the systemic fault Microsoft still hasn't fixed yet. It could be fixed with a motherboard redesign by creating a thicker board that is less prone to flexing. Many modern gaming laptops generate far more heat in a lot less space and they have no issues thanks to good design and manufacturing.

Overheating is brought up by ps3 fanboys who don't know what they're talking about so you have to challenge them on that as they can't understand the truth.

I think a Xbox 360 slim is pointless and come on bundled with Natal? If anything, it should be bundled with games like Gears of War 2. Besides, if there is any console that should have a slim version, it should be the PS3.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

A smaller case would mean more heat = Not good unless you have a very good fan.

But Microsoft would probably alter the hardware to run cooler.

I LOVE ICELAND!
