Having just played the console versions of battlefield 1943 on both xbox and PS3, to me its very tone down and as a arcade feel to it.  Doesn't feel like the old battlefield games of old that I used to love.

I feel they is no sense of team play going on and its everyman for himself.  Its nothing to do with using the (controller vs mouse/keyboard) (PC graphics vs console graphics) but I can't quite put my finger on it.  This version feels like it belongs on the consoles.

I know that the PC version will have extra features and not just a console port according to the makers when its comes out for PC in a few months time, but I hoping it will play and be like the old battlefield games but with the updated graphics.

It is an XBL Arcade title BTW.

Apparently BF3 is coming to PC soon and will be much better

I have no idea.  I was merely saying that it is toned down and has an arcade feel to it because it is a small game released on the XBLA and PSN for $15 dollars.  It is supposed to have an arcade feel to it.

I know its a xbox live/PSN game but it is coming out for PC in a few months times.  What im saying is I just hope is that the extra features EA/DICE are putting into the PC version makes it a PC game (like the old battlefield 1942 was) and not some console port/arcade thing.

We all know the PC version will have better graphics and run smoother etc, but I just hope its not like the console version.

Don't you feel ashamed that you compare a $15 remake of the first game to a new full priced main entry in the BF series ?

Uh, no. Did I say that 1943 is a rip off, or not worth its price, at any point in my post? All I said is that BF3 will be a better experience for BF fans than 1943 is. And that is true. However, 1943 is cheaper and is a good entry point to the series for some

since DICE went with the whole Bad Company and Frostbite engine they lost the whole BF feeling.

I said it before I hope the cancel Bad Company 2 I don't care and focus there resources on making Battlefield 3.

Played the demo on ps3, thought it was pretty fun. I didn't like the time limit though, as it now says time limit exceeded and locks me out of playing any more.

I also didn't like Bad Company at all.
