Unfortunately, there are those who don't appreciate the DQ series -- and most of those are in the non Japanese territories where the vast majority of Wii sales have occurred (five sixths of Wii sales have come outside of Japan, compared to just three-quarters of DS sales).

And of course, when S-E finally delivers the game is another consideration.

Definitely not first week I think, but in overall sales...tough one but unlikely imo since DS has a larger userbase in japan

I don't think it will. The DS has alot more hardware sold then the Wii.

Hmm... revising my forecast in light of the preview adjustments, I'd say it now has a possibility of beating DQ9, though it's still a bit of a longshot.

As much as the Wii is popular in Japan, the DS is moreso. Logic dictates that the DS DQ should sell more. Especially since all the DS DQ games have been selling well over there.

However, there's a chance that, since DQX is coming near the end of the Wiis lifetime and it is coming after DQIX, it could have massive hype and feel like an 'upgrade' to the last game. But Japan doesn't buy games always based on graphical upgrades. In the end, I think both the Wii and DS DQ games will sell near each other in total sales, but the DS one will come out higher.
