Sure, games look pretty enough, but I still can't walk into 90% of buildings or drive down the street without spotting two identical NPCs in a GTA game >_>

Probably better physics engines. Customization and huge HDD's, too. Not very exciting, though. People want to immediately see the improvements.

Graphics can definitely get better. But it will follow the law of diminishing returns. The amount of time and money to create hyper realistic graphics might be too much for sales to ever compensate for.

I know graphics are far from done, and that they will improve, but I don't mind playing 3-5 years games that has graphics good as Uncharted 2, and I think most of people don't care from fps/resolution.
So Microsoft,Sony,Nintendo need to do something else to make peple buy next gen console than graphics.
