Forums - PC - No Alan Wake for PC

Fine, I won't play it at all then. Not the slightest chance of buing a game released by MS. And that's not only Alan Wake, that's ANY game released by MS. That is, unless this turns out to have been Remedy's decision. Right now I'm assuming it's a business decision, ie. MS's decision.

Also, I don't exactly see how this is confirmed. Seems more like a rumor.

I would assume the part where the representative from Remedy said it would secure it as fact...

Well, thats one less pirated version I'd suppose.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

PS3 version more confirmed than ever.

Damn, I was hoping this was going to be one of the first games I get on my newly built PC. Well thats one more game to scratch off the list.

OMG Call the press apparently Microsoft needs Zkuq's money or will become bankrupt.

Seems like its happening alot with Microsoft games now. Gears 2, Fable 2, Alan Wake, etc. Can't say its a bad business decision at all though, but its too bad for all 7 of the people in the world who have PCs strong enough to run Alan Wake

Not really. The game is gonna be a major letdown if it's not stellar. But - gotta say at least it's exclusive to the 360 ATM, no matter how folks wanna slice it.

Yes...any high profile game is a let down if it isn't steller, though I have a feeling I missed the point of that post?

Nah, I was just commenting on the PC version. Meh. If they want to play it, jump in.

Maybe they ran the numbers and they figured they would make more money without a day and date PC release to coincide, OR they decided to re-rework their graphics after release to support Direct X 11 and then make it Vista/Windows 7 only?

Tease.

If MS wants to use Alan Wake as a major release title to promote their 360 platform, then I don't see why not.

If Remedy is particularly concerned about piracy issues on PC, all the more reason to go with an exclusive 360 launch.

Maybe they'll end up taking the Capcom approach to releases and hold off on a PC launch until the bulk of console soft sales plateau.

Personally I was planning on getting this on PC around launch, but this gives me an excellent reason to use the 360 for a change assuming the 5 year development cycle and attached hype aren't overblown.

Otherwise, I see a potential Windows port 6-12 months down the line which I'll probably buy through Steam.

If they can make a PC version that really showcases Direct X 11, I'll skip the 360 version completely and just wait.

I'd rather not buy this game more than once since all signs point to it being a play once type of game.
