Why do you think Microsoft will not react if Ps3 is catchinh up? Turnaround is impossible, MS won't allow it.

i think its more about the software (games) then the console sales.

and right now i dont think the Wii is getting the better games. (better than HD consoles i mean) , most are remakes of the older gens and the rest doesn't get that much "Hit" on gamers.

i hate to say it (cause i'll get toasted by Wii fans)  but its the truth.

I actually think the PS3 is in a strong position believe it or not.
I mean it is the most expensive of the 3 at the moment so Sony have that card to play.
Also if the slim comes out that will appeal to a lot of folks.

Between second and third it is too hard to call as I cant imagine MS just sitting back at this stage.

I reckon the Wii will come in first and a dogfight for second with little or nothing between either.

With all this slim talk whats stopping MS bringing out a slim 360?
Everyone acts like the ps3 is the only console that can be slimmed down.

That's just wrong, there are lots of great wii games coming out...

Wii sports resort, metroid: other M, super mario galaxy 2, new super mario bros. wii, metroid prime trilogy, zelda: wii, red steel 2, no more heroes 2: desperate struggle, final fantasy: crystal chronicles: the crystal bearers, little kings story, monster hunter 3, sin&punishment 2, muramasa, silent hill, resident evil: darkside chronicles, dead space: extraction,etc

aren't most of these third party spin offs/ Remakes? (Except MH3 that is)

Remakes and spin offs doesnt make that much hit into the gaming industry.

A. MS' inability to hire engineers who know how to make a console not over heat. B. it won't do much good in America. We love everything bigger. Look at our cars. The only good a slim will do is in Europe and Japan. C. MS already had an external power supply which already means it cut a lot of space with that that the PS3 has not yet.

Some of them are, but most not.
In defence to FF:CC:TCB it's a spin off yes, but it looks great for a wii game and gameplay looks amazing.

RS2, NMH2, all first party games, MH3, Silent hill, LKS, s&p2, muramasa are all real games and no spin offs or remakes. Not a single remake on that list btw except for metroid prime trilogy, but we all whined for it for ages, so why shouldn't it count?

I don't think so in my opnion. There have been so many rumors and disappointments and huge projects that don't live up to their hype.
