Again, I never said I was posting facts. If I was posting facts Nintendo would give me a paycheck of $10000 a month just to work for them and give info. I'm making educated guesses.

Again, you aren't posting factually, but personally. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but it's hardly factual. |
The difference is what Samus said makes sense contrary to the kind of BS RageBot was throwing.
yea i do, i think the wii will tie the ps3. but thats only cause the ps3 is going to be around WAY longer
yea...PS3 will surpass both by the time Sony stops the production of it (PS3)
| Steroid said: PS3 exclusives are making 360 exclusives look dated and this trend looks to continue. PS3 has sold more in 2.5 years then 360 did plus it plays bluray has free online gaming and doesn't get RROD. Yes the 360 could drop it's price this year but if they really need to sell the console for less then a DS personally I think that would be embarrassing. |
Forza 3 and Gears 2 look outdated? Really?
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
Just wow at some people... I really can't believe how they still think Ps3 is going to be out longer then wii. The ps3 sales are domed, didn't u know? :)
I'm not exactly a Wii fan, but I can easily admit that they already won this gen. They haven't even had a price cut yet, and it's selling about as much as the other 2 systems combined. People can't say that price is the only factor here either, GameCube was cheaper than either PS2 and Xbox and that didn't put them on top.
I don't really see PS3 overtaking 360 either, but it can close the gap if they do the right things. If Sony cuts the price, Microsoft will do the same. Microsoft is overall more financially secure than either Nintendo or Sony, so they can afford to do what needs to be done.
Most of the system sellers have already come out, on all their respective systems. A lot of the games that helped Sony secure other generations are now Multi-plats or on other systems entirely. Sony never had the strongest 1st party studios, they were always carried by 3rd parties. Without all the 3rd parties in their back pocket, this was bound to happen. Nintendo has always relied mostly on 1st party, and since those are the games that people are buying they are in a strong position.
The PlayStation brand isn't as strong as some people think, and even if it was that doesn't matter. In the 80's Nintendo was the only company that mattered, that didn't stop Sega from taking nearly half of their market share only a generation later.

Probably the best analysis I have seen on this thread.
