I timed my PS3 just for this thread and it took me 5.1 seconds. And that leaves margins of human reaction time. 37 seconds? What the hell!?

Er...it doesn't take 37 seconds, but it is annoying and does take quite a while. Maybe 10 seconds?
Sony generally needs to make all trophy loading faster.
slower than the 360 or not, the PS3 trophy system is simply.. slow.
It needs to load way quicker.
It needs to show total trophy count when you compare with friends. It needs to show what the last played game was when the person is offline.
when comparing trophies, the last earned trophies need to be clickable, so my friends can see what they are.
As it is now, none of this is there. There is a screen where if you just click on the persons name a screen comes up with what level they are, and total trophies, but this is not when you compare with someone else. There is also a graphic list of the last trophies but they are just meaningless pictures of the trophy icons. It is impossible to know what game they came from or what achievement was last earned by my friends.
an average trophy % earned per game would be nice as well.
But even with all of this, I still prefer trophies to achievements.
You must have a lot of games for ps3 if loading the trophies takes over 30 seconds. I have around 15 games with trophies and it takes only around 5 seconds for the list to load. It allways first gives the list and during that it loads all the images. I can't believe how obsessed someone is about things like this. Also why should the list load speed even matter when propably no one checks it constantly every 5 minutes?
As someone who owns/prefers the 360, this doesn't account for the roughly 50% of the time when, in game, you hit the guide button and the menu temporarily freezes for 10+ seconds. And if you try to join a party in game, it's even worse.
Either way this is a completely mindless comparison.
