Because CoD4 looked really good?

COD4 had a very compelling single player. It's one of the few games that I played through on a higher difficulty. There were some truly moving moments in that game. The first time the nuke exploded was one of the only "oh shit" moments I've ever had in video games. You can't say that didn't affect you. The interactive ending with Captain Price sliding you the gun was also great. And hardly any first person shooter could be considered "non-linear".
Edit: And COD4 doesn't have trophies. |
Yep, most FPS games are very linear in broad terms (but exceptions such as the Stalker games come to mind). COD4 though was incredibly restrictive in its SP gameplay... from respawning enemies until you cross an invisible lines, to set up scenes that played exactly identically each time and where you could memorize where each soldier would show up next, to levels that often felt like corridors even when they weren't.
I liked a lot some of its SP campaign moments, but no other modern FPS gave me that sense of on-rail/shooting gallery when it comes to the action.

Fun is for casuals.
I swear, if this game has colours other than grey and brown, I'm not buying it.

On the bright side it should have 4 player split screen. Lets just hope it goes online with split screen.

GTFO. That would be so stupid of them.

Who gives a damn about graphics? I spent hundreds of bucks on a console specifically so it could have the worst graphics possible. That's why I'm ONLY getting the DS version because I don't give a damn about graphics at all. And most people agree with me too.
