I think Matt and Bozon's proximity to the game development, like giving feedback etc. could have clouded their impartiality. I also think an 86 is a little high for the title but anything below a 75 is too low IMO. Listening to the podcasts, and reading reviews from Matt and Bozon I find them extremely reliable and professional. Sometimes I don't always agree with a score they give but they almost always do a great job backing up their reviews with well thought out, accurate, and intelligent commentary. Many of the lower reviews got details about the game completely wrong or left out important details.
The 40s are just stupid and show real bias against the Wii. Jeff Gerstmann has been involved in notorious scandals involving his reviews, and Gamepro just had to fire someone for plagiarism, so consider the source.
Go look at the games rated between 40-50 in the Metacritic rankings and then ask yourself if The Conduit is anywhere near as bad as any of those games.
The best reviews for this game IMO are from VGChartz.com, GameTrailers.com, and GameShark.com (which I normally don't read)...
