If anything, IGN caused HVS to concentrate on things that IGN wanted making for a lower review to those critics they didn't cater too. It all balances out...
Most people who bought the game think it deserves an 80-90. Personally I'm surprised there wasn't some 100s, as some magazines seem to give those out to less worth titles...
If IGN rate it a 95, then you might be able to claim bias. It's not like they gave it the highest rating. http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=64101 has it at 9.0/10 bringing it back into the green on metacritic.
