What are you doing by saying "I couldn't of said it better myself?" You're doing something else than the people who are saying "this."
The whole point of quoting and saying "this" is not to add your own content to the thread but to re-emphasize the content you're quoting. The less you say, the more emphasized the quoted content is. It's essentially the difference between saying "I agree with this poster" and "Reread what this poster just said."
