Forums - Website Topics - What is This? (post question)

Explain This to me.  Why is there a need to post EXACTLY what someone says as a quote, and then stick "This" as a single word reply to repeat what was said?  Why do it?  I don't get the concept.  How about saying you agree, and then adding a bit more of your own thought to it?  Even an occasional "I couldn't of said it better myself" with the quote, would be a change.

It's not hard to get. It's a quick way to say I agree and show the quote in question to re-emphasize it.

Some of us (at least me) don't post quite often because we find someone said what we wanted to say.

This is a way to notice that.

I find it better than when they just quote and leave it blank.
