The game is getting hyped on teh interwebz, which doesn't correlate to anything really. Look at KZ2.
For lacking features that teh interwebz thinks should be there, which again, doesn't correlate to anything.

You are correct in saying they sacrificed it for something else. This goes for any game design. There is a give and a take. They obviously decided that whatever weather and light cycles were sacrificed for, were more important. Unfortunatly, we will never know what that was and if that was the right decision or not.

Isnt it "teh interwebz" people who do the reviews?
As for KZ2... it lived up to what it was ment to be, a kickass shooter with the best console graphics. But that is for a different topic, and we should leave it at that.

So try and take a stab at the quantitative damage done by no weather and no light cycles.
Both in reviews and sales.
This is going to be difficult, because we do not know what features were added or kept in order to sacrifice these 2 features people are pining about. So, in fact, the review scores and sales could have been lower if they had added weather and light cycles, but dropped whatever they did keep or add.
All those features don't matter until they make their way into Forza. Then they will be some of the biggest features.
In an ideal racing sim, day and night cycle changes the track temperature dramatically. Track temperature affects tires grip and durability. I'm not going to argue about weather because wet tracks happen all the time.
I guess the definitive isn't so definitive afterall.
What makes it definitive again?

Good god man. Why is your hate for Forza so strong?

The latest Arcade model comes with 512mb of internal memory, the prior model came with 256mb built in and the launch Arcade models came bundled with a 256mb memory unit, so why would they be screwed ?..
I can say Im screwed too and I have the 20gig pro model ...all i do is delete and DL over and over again.

Something to do with 360 gamers getting to play two full Forza releases before GT5 even gets a release date. Ever since E3 Forza has being making huge headlines and people are starting to get very petty hating on it for no reason other than it's now a serious "threat" to their beloved franchise. People can bitch and moan over the definitive statement as long as they want, until PD actually release GT5 complete with a damage model then they're grasping at every straw they can.
Just to clarify the earlier statements that mentioned damage in the trailer at E3, there was no deformation shown in the clip so while it wasn't CGI it could and most likely was, a pre damaged model run on the ingame engine. When GT5 finally does hit the streets a lot of you haters are setting yourselves up for a huge fall when people start to pick every flaw to pieces in the game (and there will be some).

I will bet you Forza 3 scores higher than 94 meta. And included in the bet will be Forza 3 beating GT5 in Meta to. Would you like to bet?
