Still beats the hell out of a lot of high-selling Wii games' front-end sales, especially given everything that was supposed to go against this game (hardcore Wii 3rd party new IP with short campaign no local multiplayer and incredibly generic)

But you can't dismiss the huge drought in Wii FPS, the decent advertising campaign, and the moderate amount of hype it recieved.

@Dolby

I think it probably will since there are no other online FPS games (that we know of) coming before Q4 2010 (The Grinder). I guess someone could have something in development we don't know about but it still won't be out this year.

^^^Nerf N-Strike 2 will compete with TC this Christmas for sales I think. (I know it doesn't have online.) That is, if it is coming out by then. I don't feel like checking.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

Is Nerf N-Strike RedSteel 2? If so, it doesn't have online and I bet the art style hurts its sales, even though I love it. It will be an awesome proof of concept for WM+ but without online it will be a pretty short experience...

Thank you thank you thank you ioi. See, that's all you had to do. Just share with the rest of us. Quit holding such things inside for so long. Let it out. Just let it out. There There. Do you feel better now?

360 Ghostbusters had 136K opening. With all the Wii's out there in Americas, I sure was hoping that The Conduit would break that # seeing as how it had over a year of hype and advertising. All those interviews and previews count as advertising in my book. That's what got me exciting and anticipating this for day 1. I can rest now and wait patiently to see how the sales were for each week. I'm really curious to see how Fight Night sold compared to The Conduit. It must have had an effect on Conduits sales because for those with PS360, it's $60 for one or $50 for the other unless you had cash to burn and put up $110.00 for both games in those weeks. Thanks ioi for getting those numbers off your chest. Relax now, you've done good.

Consoles owned: NES, N64, PS1, GC, PS2, Wii.

thats for 2 weeks...

Isn't that more like a week and a half since The Conduit really wasn't available until a Wednesday?  And concidering those numbers are from the Americas only, those numbers are really good (if Europe had been released at the same time, we could be looking at 250k over the first week and a half, which would be amazing).

The first week of sales doesn't necessarily mean two days. Nearly every release of digital media is not released on Sunday. That means they don't get a full 7 days in their first week of sales.

Either way I'd say it's a guarantee that it's going to be in the monthly US top 10. Bloody good for a new IP. Given the amount of advertising they've done I reckon they'll have to shift more than 400,000 worldwide to make a profit (although that is a complete guesstimate lol) and I can't see that being a problem at all. After a couple of weeks worth of sales in Europe added to another couple of weeks sales in the US they could be raking in the cash. Great to see, am really happy that the overly harsh reviews haven't done it too much damage.

Can't wait for The Grinder to come out now, I'm starting to drool lol.

I hope that vgchartz are wrong

I thoght at least 300 first week in USA

The conduit was my last hope

First the house of dead, then madworld, now the conduit.

i´ll buy my copy tomorrow ( i´m live in europe)
