What are you trying to say?

that square took over of enix and the company is named square enix only because dragon quest is still alive, once it dies it will return to be square soft |
That's some of the funniest post I've ever read, as it's so hilariously wrong, that I have to fix it. SO, CHILDREN, SIT DOWN AND LISTEN TO THE TALE OF WHY SQUEENIX IS WHAT IT IS TODAY!
See, long ago, Square did this dumb thing called The Spirits Within. Now, see, I liked the movie, but it lost the company money. Lots of it. And, also, at the time, Square was putting a lot of investment into FF11. So, uh. They were sort of... well, hosed. Things were looking bad for our beloved Square! And then Enix came in and /bought Square/. No, I'm not kidding. The merger was not initiated by Square. Nor did Square take over Enix. It wasn't a hostile takeover, no, but it was very much Enix buying Square.
Aaaaalso, Dragon Quest has, and always will, beat the everloving poo out of Final Fantasy in sales in Japan. Want to know what the generic term for video games is, in Japan? Sort of like how soccer moms here use 'My kid plays Nintendo'? DraQue. Dragon Quest. (Okay, that's not /entirely/ true, as video games are a /bit/ more understood over there, but it's very close.) Right.
Hopefully someone, maybe even the person I quoted, will read this and be educated.
