RE4 Wii is my favourite console game this generation even ahead of Galaxy and Mario Kart. It was awesome. RE5 though I haven't played it, just looked boring to me and without Wii controls, i'll never bother. However, at this point even if they port it, there is no way i'll buy it. I'd just like a sequel to RE4

The Resident Evil series is not Final Fantasy...RE5 is a sequel is RE4

I find it ironic that people praise 4 but hate 5 when they are basically the same game except co-op is added and the graphics are HD in RE5

Forced co-op, incompetent AI, ridiculous storyline that's just weird, Chris hitting a boulder.

Say what you will about RE4 not being very RE, it was amazing. RE5 was clunky and strange, and add the above stuff I listed and it just wasn't very satisfying at all.

@Anarchy, I'm not saying it should be titled RE4 2 or something silly like that but more along those lines and actually I felt a lot of tension playing that game and so did my cousins and everyone in this house has finished that game at least twice this year alone as well as played most of the side missions. It just felt more fun.

im a Resident Evil fan but imo Resident Evil 4 and 5 were the weakest in the series

I don't know how you can say RE5 had a ridiculous storyline when RE4 did also...in fact RE4 was 90% irrevelant to the main RE storyline

i have to agree with you there. tried it at a friends house and it was ok, but it didnt feel like an RE game.

Yeah, that's the thing. RE4 didn't fuck things up, it just wasn't related, while RE5 took everything that existed and turned it into mush. Well, not everything, but yeah. It took a few things.

Bolded is actually what is the biggest problem with RE5, except for the controls. They force co-op into a game just so they could appeal to an audience who would have bought the game anyways.

yeah, the co-op is one of the biggest problems(aside from the controls and the inventory). in RE4 i was alone most of the game, which added to the horror atmosphere. in RE5 i didnt feel scared that much because my friend was always there to get me out of a pinch. that just took away alot of the horror in the game. it only became scary when your partner died.

also for those bashing RE4's storyline saying "it had nothing to do with the main story", it really wasnt supposed to.
