Riiiight ... If you take overall sales of the Xbox 360 and the PS3 and then subtract that first year sales from the Xbox 360 that you think should not count, the Xbox 360 has still sold more in overall sales.

You know what, you're right. The problem is that the Xbox didnt release next to the PS3 or Wii. You sound like a whiny little ***** because things didn't turn out your way.

Mee too, but it would be fun to see the forums if we celebrate the success of xbox and wii´s 50% marketshare (counting like ps fans do).

If you click weekly sales you'll see that the PS3 is selling below the Xbox 360 from last year and sales are about to ramp up very quickly. I hope for your sake that the PS3 does the same.

if you guys didn't know from that chart from hardware launch you can see that if the ps3 was release at the same time as the 360 it would be ahead by 2 million

The OP definitely has a point :

- if you look at the launch date, then PS3 sold more than 360 on the same time frame from launch, despite a much higher price point

- if you don't look at launch date, then PS2 wins hands down in installed base.

Either way, Sony is doing well.
