Forums - Nintendo - Famitsu: The Calling, Hudson`s Horror game has fat kids

That's Siren: Blood Curse.

It's a more traditional horror game on PS3. I liked it a lot.

Well, this game has a very cool art style. It's very colorful but it seems you are looking at everything through a grainy filter. You also play as 5 or 6 people throught out the game.

Pretty cool. Graphics look solid for sure, but that's kind of a given with HD gaming. =) PS3 exclusive? No PC version huh?

PS3 exclusive. It's a first party, develop by Japan studios I think.

Yeah, it's a PS3 exclusive. Made by Sony and one of those dual releases. (on Bluray and PSN download)

It was only $40 at launch and I think its discounted to $30 or $35 now.

Not bad, prob is I dont own a PS3 to play it on, and I'm pretty broke due to the fact that I have to outsource most of my my dev team's level design. Yay for funding game development out of your own pocket.

What kinds of games is your team making? (what platforms as well)

@outlaw - working on a FPS right now, more of the online-focused style, like Quake Team Arena and UT meet Time Splitters. As of the current plan, PC with a possible 360 XBLA port (depending on size, etc) We will see how the game is received and maybe port it directly to consoles in disc form. That part is still all a big "if". Each of the console companies have been making some dumb decisions this year that make me reluctant to support them. I don't like Nintendo's policy on "cockblocking" some solid Japan games from reaching american gamers, I don't like the PS3 or 360 attempts at motion control. I feel that all 3 alienate the core gamer in these aspects. With the game likely to release in a year, it might be better worth the time to get our FPS game out and then see if we can squeeze our way into next gen development and release a launch title for the next gen offerings for 2012.

Very nice.

I looked around the website and it looks good!

Do ya'll have any funding for the project? Also, what about a release date?
