If this continues.. and sadly it will..ps3 really needs a price drop.. maybe a $50 now and a $50 at xmas... otherwise 360 picking constant steam is gonna be bad mojo for SONY

5 THINGS I'd like to see before i knock out:

a. a AAA 3D sonic title

b. a nintendo developed game that has a "M rating"

c. redesgined PS controller

d. SEGA back in the console business

e. M$ out of the OS business

@ Woody - I think that Sony could steal back continental Europe, the UK though I'm not so sure, I believe the only reason the 360 is back on top in the UK is because they put a real effort into it, not just a price cut (obviously the cut was the main part)

If Sony wants to shift the UK market, they need to do more than actions, I know it sounds silly, but they need to get good word on the street, they need oto make the PS3 cool.

The 360 cut in march 08 ( I think) did naff all, thats because all Microsoft did was cut the price, it wasn't enough, Then come christmas, they launched a massive advertising campaign, NXE, and basically tried to reinvent the 360.

I hope you get what I mean, If sony simply cut the price of the PS3 and bundle GT, it won't be enough, Sony need to pull their finger out and do more.

The PS3 has needed a price drop since E3 2006.

mine is 360 - 31.10

PS3 - 22.37

Yours is wrong, the manifest destiny of the PS3 is to beat the Xbox 360. So the ONLY way, and I mean the ONLY way that could possibly be true is if it was to make the PS3's comeback even more spectacular. The Xbox 360 is only a stepping stone for greating things for Sony and the PS3.

@ rol: Interesting info, thanks :) But one question: if they stuffed it, then why state that you're going for 13 million sold? :-/ Probably just holding onto the same number as the year before would've been just fine, considering the economic situation at the time? Because if the stuffing happened, no way that this 13 million is going to happen (even though that's apparently what they're gunning for).
