Forums - Sales - Wich franchise pushs more hardware?

Wich franchise you think that have most loyal followers that go to ANY system that have it games, and don't need to worry about installed base of hardware to sell well? I think FF,GTA and MGS are the best examples of this kind of game.

Wii Fit.

Wii Fit has sold at least 10Million Wiis.

Halo would probably shift a lot of hardware

Gran Turismo

Final Fantasy

All easy choices imho

GT and final fantasy

I would say that franchises that have shifted a lot of consoles in the past have been Mario platformers, Sonic games, Grand Theft Auto, Halo, Metal Gear, Wipeout, Dragon Quest + Final Fantasy (mainly in Japan though) Gran Turismo, Pokemon and Tetris.

This current generation is quite different however. The main drivers for the HD consoles haven't changed all that much, and have had much less effect as well. But on the Nintendo side we now have Brain Training and Nintendogs for the DS and Wii Sports, Mario Kart Wii and Wii Fit for the Wii. And on the PSP side (in Japan) Monster hunter has meant the revival of the PSP.

It's actually a huge change!

I would say Zelda and Mario games are huge console pushers, people bought a Wii for those games. On the 360, the obvious choice would be Halo, but don't forget about Gears, a lot of people would buy the new Xbox for that game...and for the PS3 it's MGS and GT.

2D Mario platformers.

He was talking about real consoles.

You real gamers are just deluded.... true gaming is where it's at.

Wii sports.

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

MGS is a pretty good example.
