I heard they might be using a magic potion powered by the CELLZ.

they were awesome , good texture work, texture were tight and animations were lifelike.
but the shaders were simple, but i guess i am used to the over shiny objects from killzone 2.
and metal gear solid tried not to look so shiny.

This potion also causes RROD, and that's why Sony allowed MGS:R to go multiplat- to destroy millions of 360s worldwide
You seem to be drawing your conclusion based on false assumptions:
1. The PS3 is so much more powerful than the 360, graphically, that MGS4/MGS:R wouldn't be possible on the 360
2. Programmers don't improve their command of the hardware/software on a platform over time
3. 360/PC buyers would not be willing to buy MGS:R and install the game to the hard drive
Having written system-level software for a number of years, and considering that Konami appears to believe it is possible to pull off on the 360, I'm fairly confident that your assumptions are false.

@Kantor
And with just like the early days of the RROD saga, its not going to stop people from purchasing 360's
the last time i check MGS4 takes 30GB uncompress, before claiming that MGS4 is not possible on the 360 remember Gears 2 look just as good if not better, one more thing, not possible on pc.....what are you smoking?

yea mgs4 isnt that good looking and it has quite a bit of slowdown too

No, MGS4 looks amazing. There are just a few games which look better. And if Rising is planned for 2010, that's a full 2 years after MGS4, so I should hope they can improve on the graphics, multiplat or not.
I mean, CoD4 looks better than Resistance FOM, right? Hell, it looks better than Resistance 2.
ive seen better looking games on 360 and pc so i dont know how there going to have to compensate them.

This.
But then again... if they just did better anti-aliasing would still be considered better looking than MGS4, No?
I personally don't care. Graphics these days look pretty awesome to me, improvements don't really matter to me. I think we've reached a point where we can say "that game looks good" to pretty much every HD game. There's gonna be a few exceptions of course for some people, like if NIS makes a Disgaea4 but those games look just fine, perhaps Sprites with less jagged edges?? There's not much they really need to improve on since the art style fits the game perfectly.
