Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Faulty Wii Motion Pluses in the U.K.?

England is a fairly small country in size with a large population. The common Englishmans dwelling is most probably a lot smaller than your average U.S or Australian household and therefore more cluttered.

Considering all this clutter in the way, it is not surprising their ranking would be so low when taking into account all of the crap they are probably hitting whilst swinging their virtual racquets around.

There.

Simple explanation.

Interesting theory about the English not being good at Grand Slam Tennis because they play in smaller and more cluttered households.  I would look into it, but I play in a small and cluttered area myself.  Even though I am American, I do not live in a palace and the street in front of my non-palace is not paved with gold.  Even though I accidently flush the toilet, turn on the microwave, and do the dishes while playing Grand Slam Tennis my win loss record is still pretty solid.

I appreciate the deep reflection and rigorous thought that you must have went through to come up with your theory, but I'm afraid that it's been disproven.

Yaaaaay I am not the worst player after all and have a faulty Wii Motion Plus. I knew there had to be some explanation that wasn't down to my abilities. After all the UK has the best Mario Kart players so why would we have the worst GST players when MK clearly shows we are good at gaming.

It is quite strange that the UK would be that far down. I think you may be on to something. Maybe I should try the game without Wii Motion plus.

You have the best Mario Kart players?  I wasn't aware of that.

Seriously, those numbers are unbelievable.

It's just like when I got that faulty copy of Boom Blox.

Well the two best Mario Kart players on VGchartz are myself and Twroo so that means the UK has the best Mario Kart players.

@Amp... Ok, how big is the floor space between you and the TV your Wii is connected to?... my entire bedroom has about 6 square metres of floor, of which about 2.5 are actually free (no bed/cupboard etc).

We have quite a good sized living room compared to many other houses I have been in, and the distance between TV and couch is 1.5 metres.

I am not claiming this to be the problem as I haven't played the game, I don't know how much movement is needed, and I think I would be capable of playing it at least downstairs (no way I could play it in my room though)
How about checking where Japan is in the rankings... as they supposedly on average have small houses too.

Well my theory has been found out for the ruse that it is.

In reality I was simply stalling for time while I do further investigation into the subject.

I'm quite sure the answer will come to me after tasting several beers in the near future, at which time I will inform the world of the answer to this greatest of mysteries.

Oh and I may have to pick this game up now so my dishes can get done

ok after i stumbled over this thread i took a closer look about players from the UK and i also have to say not one single player i have encountered from UK played very good.

That could have been an accident but from the approximatley 10 players i met not one of them had lots of points nor did they play very well.

Others who also made that experience with players from the UK ?

is the wm+ shipment to the UK maybe indeed faulty?

My win loss ratio is above .500 against tuoyo so I am also better than him according to the statistics.  If this thread has proven anything it's that I am obsessed with statisitics.  The room that I play my Wii has about ten feet by four feet that are free which would mean that I have a little, but not much, more free space than you.  We do feet and not meters.

Japan is ranked 49th.  (W 1610,  L 2103, points 523)  Apparently no one in Japan has bought the game.

I think it just proves you are better at driving in second place and then when I get hit by a blue shell on the final lap you overtake and say you won.  I call it being luckier not being better    .  Anyway I think I have improved since then.  We should arrange a match up sometime to see who is the best.  I think I am number 1 on VGChartz and about number 3 in the whole wide world.

I have loads of space to play so that is not the explanation for my being totally crap in GST.
