9 million units in under 6 months.. seems unlikely.. i'd gun for 38m..

Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.

5 THINGS I'd like to see before i knock out:

a. a AAA 3D sonic title

b. a nintendo developed game that has a "M rating"

c. redesgined PS controller

d. SEGA back in the console business

e. M$ out of the OS business

I would say it is possible, but the odds are four to one against. It really depends on a number of factors such as marketing. Not just the console, but the games for the console. Whether the state of the global economy improves, and if so by how much. A modest recovery could sweet spot the console. Meaning consumers could afford a console, but they cannot afford to spend a lot on a console. Meaning they would have to settle for the Arcade. Finally there is always the dark horse of a break out title or feature. That suddenly substantially increases demand for the console.

Like I said it is not very likely but it is close enough that if something very right happens it could happen. Just right now from this position we cannot see if something right is coming later this year. Any thing could do it marketing, economy, fad.
