No they were never proven fake

Maybe the slim will launch at $399 with the current fat PS3 also being $399 but bundled with two games like the MGS4/KZ2 bunles.

Then once the old models cease to exist they will drop the price of the slim (this holiday). That way Sony wouldn't lose very much money, if any.

Seriously... that doesn't even look like a system to me... looks like some attatchment... like the GBA player for gamecube.

As much as I'd want a PS3 Slim for $299 I dont think it'll happen. PS3s hard disk gets so hot it can go from 75 Fahrenheit - 90 Fahrenheit, whether thats true or not it IS true that the PS3 gets really hot and it NEEDS its fans in it to keep it from over heating. How are they going to fit all thos fans in a Slim PS3?

Here's how I see it. If there is going to be PS3 Slim, it should be priced at 249.99 or 299.99. If they put it at a high price, no one will buy it.

I think that Sony will release their Slim PS3 for 349.99 in the summer, and then drop it to 299.99 in october/november. That way PS3 would be selling alot more then it is AND they are making profit off of it for a little while. Plus it will also get people excited at christmas if it goes down in price.

a ps3 slim would be built 45nm or even less manufacturing process,

smaller chips heat and electricity can be cook by half, sony can get it to the size of a ps2.

Maybe I'm missing something but I don't understand how the slim is supposed to save the PS3. For years there have been so many different things that were supposed to make Sony finally reassert their dominance in the console market (Lair, Haze, MGS4, KZ2, BD winning over HDDVD, etc...) and none of them have worked. Why will this one suddenly make a difference?

Let's face it, even if sales skyrocket, it will take a long time to catch the 360 and it's next to impossible to catch the Wii. Even if Sony manages to pull even with MS, when this gen is over, people are going to look back and see, not an amazing resurgence by Sony to dominance, but a fall from their pedestal.

By this time last gen I had long given up hope that the Gamecube would be a success and gracefully accepted reality. Why can't some Sony fans do the same and be happy with the amazing games you have?. Stop making this a battle and start enjoying yourselves.

For one it does not need saveing thus making you're whole post useless.
