Well we all know that recently the rumours have erupted that Bungie and Microsoft may split ways. Today Microsoft commented on the rumours but did not confirm a split or do anything to reassure gamers one isn't coming. Bungie themselves have talked about splitting into development teams to enable them to develope fresh new IP's and other games then Halo. It is widely reported that Bungie has not really been that supportive of Microsoft's practises even Bungies old Halo creator having left Bungie to form WideLoadGames.
So if Bungie does go third party, could it be a major turnaround point for Nintendo. Much like former first party developers like SiliconKnights , Bungie would likely maintain a relationship with Microsoft but work for oppisition publishers. With the cheap development costs associated with the Nintendo Wii their is a very good chance Bungie would want to support it. When creating new IP's the Nintendo Wii would be a fairly safe enviroment to test their new products. Not to mention Bungies expertise in the development of shooters they would likely run into alot of success judging by their weak competition.
So do you think its possible or even a good idea for Bungie to support Nintendo in the future if it does indeed split from Microsoft? Personally I think a Halo like game on the Nintendo Wii would be phenominal and really close the shooter gap between the Nintendo Wii and its competition.
So what are your thoughts, will Bungie split from Microsoft and would it likely turn to Nintendo after doing so?
