Forums - Sony Discussion - PSP Go runs 40% faster than PSP-3000

The FCC documents shows the CPU of PSP Go clocks up to 480MHz, more than 40% faster than PSP-3000 (333MHz).

Do you think faster CPU justifies the high pricetag a little bit better now?

It (PS3's market share) might hit 30%, but definently not more. ~ Neo

I'll still get a 3000. But that is cool.

Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

I'll probably only notice it for Downloaded games..... oh wait

OT: Nice, now people can quit it with the "there's not much HW improvement".

This is also pretty good if we ever see emulators on it. The 333MHz psp had issues for me when emulating certain games, but the higher you set the clock rate the better.

4 ≈ One

Maybe, but the 3000 series looks stylish and the psp go is just horrible.

Not really - still too expensive. Anyways, I have to agree with rui: the PSP Go looks horrible. I don't like the analog nub placement.

This is cool news and all, but the most attractive feature of the psp go for me is being umd-less.

Cool more reason for me to buy one!!!

I'm warming to this! Not the price though unfortunately

PSP phone clocks at 480MHz confirmed?

Although not revealed in these documents, it will be interesting to see if the final spec of PSP Go has more 64MB of ram. If Sony really want to compete with iPod touch/iPhone, at least increase the ram to 128MB. iPhone 3GS has 256MB RAM and a 600 MHz processor.

Well, we know it has in-game XMB. It may have some other cool goodies under the hood we haven't seen yet.
