Didn't Tiger Woods 10 enter PS360 territory? It looks alot like the HD version and it has been touted as the definitive version. Why didn't these devious reviewers smash that one?

Do you consider the likes of Boom Blox, World of Goo (Wii console only, and PC), Tiger Woods 10 (The control mechanism makes it unique, and it has gotten the highest ratings for the Wii), Little King's Story (as of now, Wii exclusive), and Zack & Wiki to not be worth used as examples? Just because they aren't your traditional "core" games, why should they get shorted?

Reviewers could impossibly give tiger woods 10 a lower score then the HD versions because it has more content and awesome control. Even without the awesome control it would still be better. Little king's story will remain wii exclusive as I don't see this game selling well on any console especially the HD ones. You listed a few amount of games over the big amount of games that get bashed a lot by reviewers. Yeah, these games are worth being used as examples, but you need more examples to actually prove a point.

LOL I love metascore because you can make a gaming website, get people to amp up the hits manually and then give really good or bad reviews for a game, and tank or boost any game you like. Its so corruptable, its like US politics!

So you personally set a ridiculously high expectation for the game, then call it a flop because it didn't meet the metascore. Have you read any sensible reviews for the game? It is a raging success, but for obvious reasons it has not beat out the worlds best FPS titles. It sounds to me like those who over hyped the crap out of this game weren't in fact Wii/Nintendo supporters or fans, just heated wii fanboys (who i have yet to encounter) and haters who never have anything nice to say.

arsenal009 was probably wrong for calling gameplay in multiplat games for the PS3/X360 horrible because that's just incorrect (Bioshock anyone?). If he was talking about multiplatform games that are also available on Wii then he is still wrong. You should have simply corrected him and moved on. Prove me otherwise if i'm wrong about this, but you strike me as the kind of person who is quick to point the fanboy finger at those who even slightly disagree with you... or if it is consequently related to nintendo in any way. Before you get the wrong idea, no i'm not accusing you of being a fanboy, mostly just a hater.

You should not have expected The Conduit to equal with a high quality, highly respected shooter such as Killzone 2... not in quality and especially not in an overall metascore. You should of kept reasonable expectations taking into account all the circumstances.

If its a ridiculously high expectation for you, its not for me. When the game doesnt meet my expectation i called it a flop. The reason i tought it would be AAA title was because it was most hyped FPS game on the wii.

And i am not gonna correct someone EVERY time heshe says something wrong...

if you call Conduit a flop then i call InFamous and Killzone 2 major flops in sales, because if you think of all that hype you've been spreading for months, they should have sold at least 4m each

Conduit was hyped, is a flop is review scores but for me and most Wii owners is as great as expected, not to say even better, for me Conduit is AAA whatever reviews say, i personally enjoy it and even if they give 2.0 i'll still enjoy it as much of course, so play the game and then say it's a flop

Conduit has a user score of 8.9, the same as Killzone 2

1.inFamous did better than expected in sales

2.KIllzone 2 sales are the same sales people predicted

And flop in sales and flop in rewievs are 2 totaly diffrent things

The problem that the Wii faces is a low "N"

A few unfavorable reviews -- regardless or whether they are well-reasoned or biased -- hurts Wii games a lot more than other consoles because most games have fewer reviews.

If you look, there are generally about the game number of low reviews for all games -- but the PS3 and Xbox 360 have a lot more higher reviews because they have a lot more reviews.

When reviews are all over the map, it is really hard to judge whether a game is actually worth a purchase.

I'll tell you one thing, once my friend saw the 6.5 Gamespot gave it, he laughed at the score and didn't even consider it worth a dime at that point, effectively killing off one customer.

Wii games suffer from this review fate a lot it seems. Most people agreed Too Human was................bad, and was universally panned. Wii reviews have bipolar disorder for lack of a better term.

GS is his creed. He is what you call, "I think I am a hardcore gamer". He is slightly sympathetic, but everybody he knows hates the Wii with an unusual passion.
