Can you guys recommend what I can do to check my connection settings? Every other Wii game I use with WiFi has very minimal wait time to get on.

Are you connected via wireless? If so go into your router settings and set it to DMZ... That might help... For many routers, you usually get to the router settings by pointing your browser to your routers IP address (something like 192.168.0.1) and then entering a username and password. Also go to http://www.speedtest.net/ to get a general idea of your connection speed and go to your Wii's settings and check your connection there.

Another thing is that your router might be too far away or be getting some interference. (Microwaves, Cordless Phones etc.).

You could also release and renew your ip address from your ISP but I'm not sure how to do this on the Wii really...

One thing for sure, if it is your connection, you could get a wired connection. That usually will help.

Other than that, you could call your ISP and complain that you have a poor connection and see if they can see anything on their end... If you have a DSL, Cable, or Fios connection I doubt you aren't fast enough unless you live out in the country because your proximity to your ISP and also to Nintendo's servers can affect your connection as well..

If none of that works, I would contact HVS or Nintendo and see if they have any ideas.

You could check if your router blocks the Wii or not. They do that sometimes.

Setting it to DMZ should fix that.  Or alternatively, you could port forward it... I think there is a list of the ports to open somewhere on Nintendo's site...

i'll go with user score which is 8.9

you can say whatever shit you want about user reviews, but the only fanboys here are the reviewers that will never admit that one great 3rd party Wii exclusive exist

Do you consider the likes of Boom Blox, World of Goo (Wii console only, and PC), Tiger Woods 10 (The control mechanism makes it unique, and it has gotten the highest ratings for the Wii),  Little King's Story (as of now, Wii exclusive), and Zack & Wiki to not be worth used as examples?  Just because they aren't your traditional "core" games, why should they get shorted?

sure there are some that take the cake, but I think he means beside the rare exception third party games don't get what they deserve

^click the license to level it up! Please, and thanks in advance!

Where do I set my "DMZ"?

I am wireless. My Wii is like 6 ft from my router. Nothing blocking it cept some furniture.

Not sure If I trust that Speedtest.net

Whatever. This game really feels like an 8.5 to me

And others feel it is like a 6 to 6.5, so the average is in the 70 to 75 range.  I am also not finding ANYONE who will come out and say the game is a 9.5+ game.  NO ONE is saying that.  And if no one is, you will get people who find it EH, and score will suffer.

Anyone want to consider The Conduit a 9.5 or better game?

When I had made mention of this, before it was released, I was rung up by the Wii fanclub that demanded I say this game was the Wii's answer to Halo and KZ2, and would convert people over to the Wii as a FPS box, because of the controls.

If that is the strength of the Wii, then why would people expect different?  What is see is every single blasted third-party non-party games is being hyped up as some sort of equalizer, to make the Wii seem like a "real" console that has everything every gamer would want.  By the way, I don't think Zack and Wiki and Little King's Story are party games.  World of Goo isn't either (it is a puzzle game).

And Nintendo has proven a range of games besides the Party games out there.  They have gotten good reviews.  I am sure if third-party were competent enough, it would happen to.  And I am frustrated by this, "Exclusive" handle on it.  Due to it, RE 4 for the Wii can't be mentioned.

that's not what i meant

Boom Blox, World of Goo, Little King's Story, Zack&Wiki and all that are games with child look that can only work on Wii

but the case with The Conduit is where Wii enters Xbox360/Ps3 's territory and reviewers definitely don't want that

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^
