I was starting to notice the UK charts becoming less and less Nintendominated.

Feb – Jun 08 Feb – Jun 09 YoY Unit Change YoY % Change
X360 300,000 600,000                   +300,000
          +100%
Wii 900,000 300,000                    -600,000              -67%
PS3 300,000 300,000                                0                  0%
NDS 900,000 400,000                    -500,000              -56%
PSP 100,000 100,000                                0                  0%

Am I misreading something or did the Xbox360 outsell the Wii 2:1 Feb - Jun 09?! This can't be true, right?

And VGC tracks the Xbox360 @ 3.5 million // GFK @ 3.9 million (about 300k undertracked?!)
PS3 VGC = 2.1 million // GFK = 2.2 (pretty much on spot)
Wii VGC = 5.6 million // GFK = 5.4 million (on spot or slightly overtracked)

So PS3 undertracked by 100k is pretty much spot on? lol

Sold to retail / sold to customer

You might have noticed that the difference between 3.5 and 3.9 million is not 300k as well (xbox360)

GfK Chart-Track track consumer sales, not shipments.

so:

Wii overtracked 100k
Xbox360 undertracked 400k
Ps3 undertracked 100k

good for HD-Gaming I guess.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

^ Wow, pretty big slowdown for Wii. Selling on par with PS3 and getting doubled by 360. I didn't get that impression from the SW data (top 40) we get each week.

Actually a lot of 360 titles have been in the top 40 for the last few months, so it really isn't that surprising to see it has been doing well. But I have to say I'm a bit surprised it managed to outsell Wii by 2 to 1 in the last 5 months.

100k difference on a total of 2.1 million really isn't that much.

This is consumer sales.... and doesnt surprise me in the slightest. PS3 and PSP just arent doing much in the UK....

maybe an adjustment will be incoming. maybe not.

there should be adjustments. 400k is quite a number, isn't it?

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

adjustments please

also, 360 outselling wii 2:1 WHAT THE FUCK?????

Around the Network

it is not just the 400k difference, it is the difference in weekly sales. According to GFK the Xbox360 outsold the Wii 2:1, which is insane.

Here is what VGC said:

http://vgchartz.com/hwcomps.php?cons1=Wii&reg1=UK&cons2=PS3&reg2=UK&cons3=X360&reg3=UK&start=39852&end=39985&weekly=1

You can just change Wii and Xbox360 + get the PS3 slightly up.

I am off to my Business Law - exam. Wish me luck. I REALLY REALLY need it this time.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

I am surprised how well the 360 sells.

@DirtyP2002

Good luck!

UK is quickly becoming 360 land, outside of America of course.

Wow, good job for the X360, outselling the Wii, nice.

I expect major adjustments.
