The "sandbox" ship has already sailed.

GTA pretty much defined sandbox, which is why it was so huge. Unless this introduces something new, I am going to have to go with "no".

as an ps3 exclusive 3-4 million sounds about right. really all depends on how many consoles sony can sell by the time it comes out

Is this a serious question? Will Agent sell 17 million on a console with a userbase of 22 million and counting? For it to even reach an ungodly 50% attach ratio, the PS3 would have to be at 36 million. It's not even remotely possible. GTA IV has sold 5.65 million on PS3. Half of 6 million sounds reasonable for a high end if the game has fantastic word of mouth.

However, the letters E and N can only help sales. MGS4 has E and N in the title (mEtal guNs) and CoD4 does (modErN), and even GTA IV (graNd thEft). rEsistaNce, assassiN's crEed...all of the best selling PS3 games.

EDIT: And saN aNdrEas had an extra E and two extra Ns, and that is why it sold better than GTA IV. vicE city had only one e, so it sold better than GTA4 and GTA3, but not as well as San Andreas.

To be serious, there's no way in hell it can do San Andreas numbers (that is just completely ridiculous, no game has that attach rate, and it's not GTA), it might come close to GTA IV numbers, if AND ONLY IF the game is fantastic. Really incredible, with Halo 3 level advertising, amazing reviews, and great word of mouth. If the game sells 4 million, Sony and Rockstar should be happy, if it outsells GTA4, they should be ecstatic, and throw a party.
