I know when I was younger I hated all of the goofy Genesis and Nintendo covers and made me not want to buy them, not even knowing anything about the games. Then there were the games that I bought just because the covers looked so awesome or some hot chick was on the cover. Now that there is internet, I know what games are good and bad. It was different back in the day.

What games have you guys bought or haven't bought, due to the cover art? Like if you walked into a store and just looked at the covers.

My purchase of Halo Wars was definitely helped by the cover, it just looks awesome (though I hated Halo 3), also CoD WaW's cover made me really want to buy it because of the continuity with Modern Warfare

Yes game with cool covers intrest me. Bad cover art stops me from buying a game.

bad cover art never kept me from buying a game, but I research all my purchases so I tend to know whats good or bad.

Its is pretty cool having a nice cover but not enough to choose i game.

What really turns me off in this current gen are the Platinum/Greatest Hits covers.

yeah they look odd. Id prefer to pay a couple of £ more than have those.
