Wii Sports is not bundled with console in Japan and it has sold 3.5 million there. So it would have sold more than 10 million copies even if it had been sold separately. Most likely WSR is going to sell around 10 million but probably not as much as Wii Fit.

WSR - pro - highest opening week sales of any of the Wii _______ games
- con - currently on 0 (tracked) sales. Has a lot of catching up to do

Mario Kart: Wii
- pro - least likely to be killed off by a sequel this generation
- con - its sales are good, but Wii Fit is selling better

I do not quite believe Wii Sports Resort will beat Wii Fit.

Wii Fit should be over 25 million by the end of the year, and has a chance of selling up to 10 million more after that, unless Wii Fit Plus kills it off. And however much I believe in Wii Sports Resort, 35 million sounds a bit too much.

Wii Sports Resort should sell at least 2 million in Japan, probably more like 3-4 million. And it will do at least 4 million in the US, as well as in Others. So 10 million is almost guaranteed, and 15 million lifetime is probably a bit too low as well.

My guess is it will end up somewhere around 20 million lifetime.

No. It will not beat Wii Sports. However it might be able to surpass SMG and wii fit

Wii fit has a shot of overtaking Wii sports when they stop to bundle it (if ever)... so no WSR has no shot at Wii fit.

MKWii is an other story.... but the apeal of WSR will be more in the 10M range I think.

I think a lot of people are underestimating wii sports resort. However, unless wii fit plus kills wii fit then I think it's too late for wii sports resort to sell more. It will track better imo though.

20 million seller - highly likely.

Wii Fit - Not a chance (Wii Fit is going to sail past 30 million, and possibly exceed 40 million)

Mario Kart - Possibly.... but I see this coming close to 30 million, which I don't think WSR will unless it replaces the Wii Sports bundle (at which point it would be disqualified from it's own competition)

Wii Play which you seem to have missed - Also no... as it will be another 30 million seller.
