^ well, according to alot of people, Litchi doesn't have a great list of anti-air moves. Also, I typically struggle against fast aggressive characters that can close distance easily. Even against mashers, i lose sometimes because I can't defend their pattern (since they don't really have a plan). I have a much better time against characters that try to turtle and keep distance (like Carl).

So, I guess I should be more agressive, but then I'm not playing a Carl anymore.

Well, I'm sure you can do both. I think if there was one thing (IMHO) that you'd need to improve upon (if you don't mind me saying), is a good combo with Carl alone. That 3 hit combo you often do, doesn't really hurt alot, and the 3rd hit is often blocked. If you get a more dangerous combo for Carl, people will think twice about attempting to bypass the puppet to get straight to you. But yeah, in short, I typically struggle against fast characters with an agressive state of mind.. but then again, it all depends on whether I know what to do or not. For example, I used to always lose against Jin, but I've been able to beat him lately because I react to his moves better (thx to playing with you guys).

haven't played it yet, but is it really better than guilty gear? i just want to know that, i've being GG since like forever, cause theres just isn't a better fighter, so is it the time to switch it blazblue?

If you like guilty gear, then yes, you NEED to get into Blazblue. Blazblue is basically the spiritual successor to Guiltygear. Both games have alot in common, but I think Blazblue is much more friendly to newcomers.

Either way, it's the reviews that got me sold on this game.

Also, you want to get it fast or the limited edition (which is the same price as the standard edition) will be gone. I was fortunate enough to get the last copy at my local gamestop.

i'l check it out then, i play bridget in GG so maybe so if theres a character that plays similar, it'll be my main.

^ cool, if you get the PS3 version, be sure to join the matchmaking/community thread.

Well. I've got bad news and good news. I've depleted every single option to get the game in my province; no stores have it. a few EBGames stores got a few copies but not enough to even fill out all their pre-orders.

However, I've ordered it on amazon... but it's going to take a while before I get it...

Delivery estimate: Jul 17 2009 - Aug 3 2009

:S looks like I wont be able to play with you guys for quite a while. See yous in 2 weeks.

Damn, usually amazon delivers much faster than that, atleast for me they do.

Well this is interesting. I found a never ending combo for Bang. The problem is that its extremely hard to keep going, and very hard to start but when I did, I was able to get over 40 hits with it without my enemy moving. Took down way over half his health.

Well he doesn't have many (if any at all) long combos alone. Most of his attacks are 1-2 hits, and his unique attacks with Carl alone are easily avoided and are only one hit.

I agree with you though. I need some type of long combo with just Carl. Using Ada has an element of luck and WTF that I can fully understand yet.

Well I just beat it on hard with Tager. Was a breeze until I got to V-13. Damn. His sledge hammer moves through projectiles, but when there is that steady of a stream of projectiles, it's frikkin hard to get close to that little bitch. As soon as I could actually close the gap and get in there I was all like "I NEED TO MAKE THIS COUNT", and deal as much damage as possible. Took 3 tries, but I got her. Now to beat it on Very Hard.

Played 4 ranked matches online, won two lost two. Much to my surprise one of my victories was against a V13 player. It was a brutal match, but I came through in the end. After getting my ass comboed for a couple of minutes, I managed to get her in a corner and pulled of his Double Distortion drive (where first he spins and slams the ground, sending you flying, then you use his second distortion attack that can only be used during the first one, but has to be timed perfectly so that he hits them on their way down from the first), and I've never managed to pull that off successfully against an actual person. Nearly killed her right there, and a couple frantic jabs later I won. Very satisfying.

Got my ass kicked by a very good hakumen player though. I couldn't find a good way to counter his air approaches. His sword has higher priority than my uppercut, and better range than my air throw. At best I could block and catch him off gaurd with a throw after he landed, but he caught onto that after a few suplexes, and would throw counter and continue his beat down. Man I love this game, even when I lose. Good stuff, good stuff. I love that I can save my replays to watch where I went wrong, and learn what I should've done instead. Not to mention Dl replays from people with alot more experience to see how they play as Tager. That is an invaluable tool.

Oh and leafy bug, or outlawrun, whichever, sorry about last night. I had a very long day at work and just wanted to dick around a bit in story mode. You'll get your chance to own me in good time. I don't think I'll be on tonight, but I'm pretty sure I will be tomorrow evening. Maybe I can play a few rounds with some people on here.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

You should have been there Vagabond. It was me, bbsin and outlaw, naturally having bbsin kick our asses royal. But then it was still fun.
