Forums - Nintendo - Jeff Gerstmann reviews The Conduit (40%)

conduit is a good game. high voltage delivered what they've promised. after seeing very first couple of reviews i thought i'd waste my money. but i'm happy i bought it. it's a good game.

makes me sad when i see liars and pretenders get the most attention, hate/dislike is so much all around us it's hard to find honest opinion whether it's +ve or -ve.

LOL at that video. I didn't think it would be possible to suck that hard at a game.

And yet, he does.

I think he has blubber on the brain.

Yes if you're 90% of the time sitting on a couch.

So because he gave your new favorite game a low score, that gives you the right to make fun of him?

Grow up.

I sold mine some time ago. But I’ve got an idea; why not give it to a blind Wii hater like say the reviewer? Just say it will make HD games super HD? :P

Thank you, sir.

And to RKO, all I have to say is the video speaks for itself. These are the "impartial" genius "hardcore" we're supposed to trust for our reviews.

You toss grenades by shaking the Nunchuk, which isn't always as responsive as you'd want.
...
Playing The Conduit requires a Wii Remote and a Nunchuk. The control is pretty intuitive, but it takes time to get used to aiming and turning by pointing at the screen. I probably fumbled around with the aiming control for around half an hour before I started getting comfortable. The game offers a lot of different sliders and options for tweaking the control, but I ended up leaving it alone in the end. The more I changed things, the worse the control felt. But even once you get the hang of the controls, it all feels a little delicate. The lock-on targeting jerks your view around, which can be disorienting. The turning radius never feels quite right and makes the game seem sluggish. In fact, all of the movement feels deliberately slower than the average shooter.

Poor hardcore; because motion controls require a modicum of real-life coordination, it seems the Wii really is going to be the Death of Hardcore Gaming. I weep for those unable to exercise basic control over their own extremities...although we finally have an answer to the life-long riddle of "how many hardcore does it take to do surgery on Easy?"

I love Wii Music.

Only a passionate Wii hater would say this to cover his bias.

You are a genious, I will give it to him for free and maybe it will show him the way to the light. You just made me a humanitarian.
