Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo's 'Natal' ?

Does Nintendo already have their own 'Natal' camera on store shelves or possibly even in your house?

I am of course refering to the DSi

games like Wario Ware: Snapped are early indications that Nintendo is already moving in a controller-less direction (although that game was more of a tech demo then anything else) but with some refinements could de DSi replacate that block breaking game from the Microsoft press conf? Or better yet, imagine placing your DSi in front of your TV and replicating the full game on your TV screen using the DSi's camera.

Maybe Im just dreaming, but the other day while playing around with Wario Ware Snapped, I realised this is an awful lot like what we saw of Natal.

Thoughts?

nope, The DSI camera is more akin to the Eyetoy. Which is VERY different than NATAL

Sorry mate, the facts don't lie. I'm being serious. So far, no console has used full body 3D motion tracking, or voice recognition. And definately not both at the same time.

It's a camera, so yes it tracks motion. It's the software involved that enables motion sensitive gameplay.... so the DSi camera could indeed replicate the eyetoy.

The Natal thing is a 3D camera is it not? which means that it's software can track things a lot more accurately, and responsively... but it will cost.

wait, so when i shouted OBJECTION into the microphone, they were lying to me, and phoenix had already planned on doing it anyway?? ;_;

The DS has voice recognition... as does the PS3 eye camera I think.... in fact.. I think it is again a software thing, so anything with a Microphone can have voice recognition.

You are correct about the full body 3d tracking though I think.
