Substitute "upscaler" with "slightly newer GPU/system software that can render the existing Wii games at 720p with some AA" - just like the PC emulator does - and I think this could very well be a viable and quite painless upgrade for those who are happy with the Wii, but not with its output on bigger HD screens.

PS: to answer the OP no, I wouldn't. The Wii resolution is not a deal breaking issue for me.

It depends on the features, price, etc, but most I probably would, giving me a grand total of three Wiis. Hmm. Maybe I could rig one up in the bathroom or kitchen...

I'd also probably buy a slim PS3 if they put PS2 BC back in.

What I really want though, is a Slim Wii. Can you imagine it? A Wii the size of a Discman. Awsomeness. :D
