you want to buy locally? I'm not too sure on that front as I don't live in Edmonton, but here are some good, legitmate canadian sites to order computers/computer parts from. Generally speaking, buying online is the way to go for building a PC. All the places below sell pre-built machines as well. Local retailers are good for smaller things, but you're going to pay a premium on an entire computer. Best Buy/Future Shop will most likely be a flat out ripoff.

Otherwise you'll probably overpay at a place like Futureshop or Best Buy.

Personally i would build yourself. Its VERY easy (the parts snap together) and you will save yourself a TON of money. www.newegg.com is the place i always go

I don't know about how to build a computer and don't wanna do something wrong.
Got my laptop, but it's to bad and can't use it to play any games...

Windows 7 is coming out in October, you could wait for near then, say end of September before you start your build if you wanted the latest Windows operating system.
