This is getting ridiculous.

I guess this is Microsoft's way of giving them independence?

Once again, Sakaguchi (game) teams up with Uematsu (music) for another DS RPG, being released at the end of January 08.

Details:

Japanese release date: January 31st 2008
Scenario: Sakaguchi
Music: Nobuo Uematsu
Character Design: Naoto Ōshima
Developer: Artoon

The game is being published by AQ Interactive. Coincidentally, so is Blue Dragon DS, for March 08 release.

WOW! Really what is Microsoft's motive?!? They are financially backing Mistwalker and now letting them make games for the Nintendo DS!

WOW thats amazing, considering I do want to play Blue Dragon for the DS. *sighs* now I have to get a DS.

AQ Interactive is not a good publisher either.

it's good marketing, let the big DS userbase bring some attention to good games on the 360.

doesn't hurt to help the bottom line a bit, too. you know, developers do want to make money.

 Microsoft may not have a controlling interest in Mistwalker. I can't find any information that makes the exact nature of the relationship between Microsoft and Mistwalker clear. It's possible that Microsoft could have just provided early funding for Mistwalker in exchange for a certain number of exclusive titles for the 360 with no control over other Mistwalker titles.

Your right I think Microsoft was just backing them finanically for Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon, Cry On. But Mistwalker is an independent developer that can make games for its on self on other consoles. Congrats to Nintendo on having a franchise to the DS.

Wish they would make some rpgs for xbox arcade. WTF is the hold up! Also need advance wars clone on xbox arcade.
