The interesting thing to ponder is if the Wii was still as successfull now without the recession and all the problems that causes Nintendo losing profit due to exchange rates, would they have dropped the price yet? 

I find it amazing that Nintendo have managed to not cut the price yet still have maintained great sales for this long.  I do believe though that given the hardware inside the Wii was already fairly mature at launch, there is a lot less cost savings that can be made when compared to the 360 and PS3 so current sales are fanatastic for its future too.

Yes i agree Wii past its prime, BUT it is still selling at an impressive almost unbelievable high rate...

I applaud this effort.... but you are going to need to borrow someones alt. if you want to fool people for a full page like you used to.
